10 Best Things To Do In The Morning To Conquer The Day
Ahhh, mornings. You love’m or you hate’m.
But mornings are instrumental to conquer the day for many people.
In fact, a lot of the most successful people in the world will tell you they own their mornings. Here are just a few…
- Oprah Winfrey
- Bill Gates
- J.K. Rowling
- Tony Robbins
- Arianna Huffington
It’s enough to be intrigued, and dig a little deeper into what the best things to do in the morning are.
So, bear with me night owls! This does not mean we have to wake up at 4 am (unless we want to). But there’s something to consider here about being intentional with a morning routine. Whether it starts at 5:15 or 9:15!
Why Do Mornings Matter?
That beautiful time in the morning before kids, work, or other responsibilities is OUR time. Whether it’s 15 minutes or 2 hours.
It’s dedicated solely to nourishing us or setting us up for success.
And, as a result of setting the foundation, it makes it SO much easier to reach our big beautiful goals.
Would you like to save this idea?
Often a great morning is THE difference between an average day and a successful one; quite possibly between an average life and an exceptional one.

5 CRUCIAL Things To Do In The Morning
Furthermore, after a night of sleep, we get to start afresh, energized, and focused. So, let’s use that time wisely!
Check out the BEST things to do in the morning with these SMALL and doable actions!
1. DRINK A GLASS OF WATER
Our bodies are extremely dehydrated in the morning. It’s been 8 hours since drinking anything!
So, do your body a favor and start the day off by downing a glass of water.
It’s an easy way to be on the right path to drink enough throughout the day, and you’ll wake up with so much more energy to accomplish other tasks.

2. FOCUS ON WHAT MATTERS
Live by design, not by default.
This could be writing your goals down for the day, choosing your top three priorities, or visualizing what you want to happen.
If we don’t have a plan for ourselves, we will NEVER get to where we want to be!
Consider this: just because you are busy, doesn’t mean you’re doing anything that moves you forward. Often, we get caught up in the menial.
So, make sure you’re working towards what matters to YOU. Of all the things to do in the morning, this is the most crucial!

3. MOVE YOUR BODY
This could be an actual workout, or it could be doing 5 pushups or a light stretch. The point is to wake your body up and get your blood flowing first thing in the morning.
Even if the rest of the day turns out to be awful, and you don’t get a real workout in, you’ll know that you did something to move your body.
4. MAKE YOUR BED
I was SO skeptical of this one. Like, I used to perversely enjoy keeping my bed unmade. But then I read so much about the benefits of starting the day with this tiny action.
Not only does it miraculously make your personal space more organized, but it gets your momentum going in the morning by accomplishing something right away.
As a result, it puts you in the right mindset to tackle other tasks. It took a while, but now I’m a believer.
5. EAT A HEALTHY BREAKFAST
This one is so essential to conquer the day.
What you eat first thing in the morning sets the tone for the rest of the day! So make it something that does your body good. Try oatmeal with fruit, eggs and veggies, or simple green smoothies.
If you stray later, at least you know that you ate well in the morning!
Do You Want More “Me” Time?
While the first five will set you up for success, any of the following additional things to do in the morning will make an even bigger impact on how you live your life.
We aspire to live well, and all of the following actions will continue to put you on the right path!
READ SOMETHING IN THE MORNING
Take an extra 10 minutes and read something that will help you grow as a person.
Moreover, if you have a personal, professional, or family goal, use this time to research!

SIT IN SILENCE
Silence is golden.
We all need to recharge our batteries and slow ourselves down.
So, utilize a few minutes before others wake up to breathe, pray, meditate, or just drink coffee and enjoy the heavenly quiet.

DO DEEP WORK
The most productive people are that way because they spend periods of time working without distractions. No kids. No Instagram. No email.
This is easier said than done. Yet, that’s exactly why mornings are the BEST time to get deep, productive work in! So, dig in and get your most important task done first.
BUILD RELATIONSHIPS
Morning can be a golden opportunity to spend time with your kids, friends, or partner. The rest of the day hasn’t gotten in the way yet!
Cuddle and other stuff with your significant other early in the morning, then drink a cup of coffee together before work.
If you have kids, make breakfast a dedicated time with them when you aren’t doing any other tasks.

Making my bed is the first thing I do in the morning. It also makes me move my body as well.
Yet I think going for a jogg is also important. It boosts the energy to work all day long. I never tried the “sit in silence” part. I slept all night then why to be silent in the morning? But lets try it. It may be the golden part, who knows?
I agree with your thoughts on jogging! I notice that when I move my body with a jog or bike ride in the morning, I have a lot more energy during the day. Thank you so much for sharing, and good luck with the meditation part!
