Easy Christmas Minute To Win It Games
Pro Tip: If your family loves Minute to Win It games, set aside some of the commonly used materials and store them for easy reuse every time you play.
1. Candy Cane Fishing
Supplies: Candy canes
How To Play: Place a pile of candy canes on the table or in a bowl. Take one by the straight end and hold it in your mouth. Using only the candy cane, hook as many others as you can one at a time and place them in a separate pile or bowl in one minute.
The player who hooks the most candy canes wins!
2. Ornament Commute
Supplies: Candy canes, Unbreakable ornaments
How To Play: Divide the group into teams of 4-8 players. Each player holds the straight end of a candy cane in their mouth. The first player places an ornament hanging from their candy cane. The goal is to pass the ornament down the line with no hands allowed!
If the ornament drops, the team has to start over. How many times can your team successfully pass the ornament in one minute?
3. Candy Cane On A String
Supplies: Candy canes, plastic cups, string
How To Play: Tie a candy cane to a string around your waist, letting it hang down your back. Without using your hands, try to swing and drop the candy cane into a cup or toilet paper roll on the floor.
The first player to successfully land the candy cane in the cup within one minute wins the game!
Additional Option: Tie the candy cane so the hook side is down and place a few candy canes in the toilet paper roll. See if you can be the first to hook a candy cane!

4. Candy Cane Face Challenge
Supplies: Candy canes
How To Play: Every player gets twelve candy canes. How many can you get to balance on your face in the one-minute time?
(Hint: You can hook them on your ears, lips, and nose and balance them on your head.)
5. Snow Shovel
Supplies: White pom poms or cotton balls, plastic spoons, bowls
How To Play: Each player needs two bowls and a spoon. One bowl needs to be filled with white pom poms or cotton balls. When time starts, players have one minute to transfer the pom poms into the empty bowl with only the plastic spoon in their mouth.

6. Blindfold Challenge
Supplies: Blindfold, Christmas bows, 1 bowl, large spoon or spatula
How To Play: Players use a large spoon to move Christmas bows from one bowl to another while blindfolded. Whoever scoops the most within 60 seconds wins. It’s harder than it sounds!

7. Move The Chocolate
Supplies: Straws, bowls, Christmas M&M candies
How To Play: Players aim to transfer red and green M&M candies from one plate to another using only suction from the straw, without using their hands!
Want to up the challenge? Try using chopsticks instead. For an extra twist, separate the M&Ms by color into two different bowls as you move them.
8. Santa’s Beard
Supplies: Cotton balls, Vaseline, bowls
How To Play: Cover each player’s nose in vaseline. Each player will transfer as many cotton balls from one bowl to another one at a time. No hands allowed!
Make this more fun by transferring the cotton balls onto this printable Santa beard. Fill it up as much as you can in one minute!
Pro Tip: Dab some Vaseline on the Santa’s beard to help younger kids make an easier transfer!

9. Snowman Stack
Supplies: Marshmallows
How To Play: Players have one minute to make as many ‘snowmen’ as they can by stacking three mini marshmallows on top of each other. The player with the most snowmen at the minute mark is the winner.
Make it harder: Stack the marshmallows using only one hard or only your mouth!
Make it easier: Use large marshmallows instead of mini ones.
10. Reindeer Marshmallow Pickup
Supplies: Marshmallows, bowls, plastic cups
How To Play: Each player covers both hands with a plastic cup. Then use the cups like reindeer hooves to pick up as many marshmallows as possible and move them into the bowl.
We played this game with large marshmallows and mini marshmallows for a challenge.
11. Snowy Nose
Supplies: Vaseline, Cotton balls, string
How To Play: Tie a white cotton ball to the end of a string. Place Vaseline on each player’s nose.
The player starts with the other end of the string in their mouth. They then have one minute to attempt to swing the ribbon and land the cotton ball onto their nose and stick there. No hands are allowed! The longer the string, the harder the challenge!

12. Build A Snowman
Supplies: Toilet paper rolls, snowman accessories (hats, scarfs, mittens, etc…)
How To Play: Divide players into teams of 2 or 3. One person will be the ‘snowman’ and the other teammates will race to wrap the snowman in toilet paper and add accessories. The team with the most fully decorated snowman at the end of one-minute wins!
Reuse the materials and play again with a new player as the snowman.
13. Jingle Bell Race
Supplies: Jingle bells, spoons
How to Play: Each player balances one or more jingle bells on a spoon in their mouth and walks from one side of the room to the other without letting the jingle bells fall or using their hands. The player who completes the most round trips in 60 seconds wins.
If a bell is dropped, the player must start over with counting.

14. Jingle Bell Box Guess
Supplies: Fill five gift boxes with varying amounts of jingle bells (either use different kinds of gift boxes or somehow label them so you know the correct order)
How To Play: Players take turns shaking the gift boxes and trying to figure out how many jingle bells are inside each one. Their goal is to arrange the boxes in order from the most jingle bells to the fewest. The player who gets the order correct in the quickest time wins!
15. Balancing Jingle Bells
Supplies: Craft sticks, Jingle bells
How To Play: Give each player a craft stick and four or five jingle bells. Each player places one end of the craft stick in their mouth and must try to get all the jingle bells balanced on the other end in one minute.
Too easy? Add more jingle bells each time you play!
16. Candy Kiss Unwrapping
Supplies: Hershey kisses, toothpicks
How To Play: Challenge players to use only one toothpick to unwrap as many Hershey Kisses as possible within one minute. The player who unwraps the most Kisses by the end wins.
For younger kids, make it easier by allowing them to use a toothpick in each hand.

Supplies: Christmas charade cards
How To Play: Divide into two teams. Each team designates who will act out the Christmas-themed charade cards within one minute.
The team with the most guesses wins. Remember, no words or clues are allowed – only pure acting!

18. Upside Down Tree Stack
Supplies: Plastic cups, paper plates
How To Play: Create an upside-down Christmas tree using cups and paper plates. Start by placing one cup upside down on the table, then carefully balance an upside-down paper plate on top. Next, stack two cups on the plate, followed by another plate. Continue by adding three cups on the next plate. Keep building, but don’t let your tree fall before the minute is up!
The first person to build the tallest tree without it toppling wins!
19. Partner Giftwrap
*More challenging game for older kids, teens, and adults
Supplies: Blindfolds, pre-cut wrapping paper, small boxes, tape, bows
How To Play: Partners race against the clock to wrap a gift in one minute. The catch? Each partner can only use one hand!
Give each team their own gift-wrapping supplies and blindfold both players. They must work together to wrap the box as neatly as possible within the time limit. The best-wrapped gift wins!
Allow players an extra two or three minutes if needed. Or rotate team members after one minute to keep the wrapping going and make it more challenging.
Pro Tip: Keep the arm you’re not using tucked in your shirt or secured behind your back to avoid the temptation of using it!
20. Christmas Exercise Challenge

Participants aim to complete as many repetitions of a selected Christmas-themed exercise as possible within one minute. This is a great opportunity for movement and a burst of energy release! Pair players in partners to help count repetitions.
- Santa Squats: Perform squats while imagining you’re getting up and down from Santa’s sleigh.
- Reindeer Runs – Do high knees pretending you’re one of Santa’s reindeer.
- Elf Lunges – Perform lunges while pretending to dash around like a busy elf in Santa’s workshop.
- Jingle Bell Jumps – Do jumping jacks while shaking or pretending to shake jingle bells with each jump.
