Your kids can
Good morning. One of the greatest gifts we can give our kids isn’t more stuff. It’s confidence.
Confidence to solve problems. To try something new. To make mistakes, learn, and keep going.
Every chore they master, dollar they save, or meal they help make is quietly preparing them for a future where they know, “I’ve got this.”
Today’s edition is full of fun, practical ways to build those moments together. So grab your coffee, settle in, and let’s make today count.
These are the games that turn a hot summer’s day into the one everyone talks about. It’s the most-clicked article this week for good reason ⬇️
Stuck inside on a summer day? The fun doesn’t have to stop.
Connection is the foundation of confidence. Games build both.
TABLE WISDOM
“The greatest gift you can give someone is your encouragement.”
— John C. Maxwell
Teaching kids that money is a tool they control (not something that just happens to them), is one of the fastest ways to build real confidence.
Easiest Budgeting for Kids Framework Without Losing Your Mind
Research from the University of Cambridge found that core money habits are formed by age 7. (Often from kids watching their parents) This framework is one of the highest-leverage things you can do right now.
Someone always ends up more soaked than they planned. That person is usually the adult who thought they were supervising.
Here are the games that make it happen →
Kids solve their own problems, make their own messes, and clean up with pride (tip: use the reusable balloons!). That’s confidence in action. 740+ readers have already started grabbing their balloons.
THANKFUL THURSDAY
And happy Thankful Thursday!
This week, I’m thankful for…
- July. It’s my birthday month (don’t miss the giveaway!). Plus, it’s just one of the most laid back months of the year. Yes, yes, yes to slower days.
- Furry babies. I’m pretty sure our two cats are ready for the kids to go back to school. But I’m thankful our boys are snugglers (on their terms).
- 4th of July fun. We connected with extended family and old friends. Ate lots of yummy food. And no one hurt themselves lighting fireworks. I couldn’t ask for more.
