Easy Thanksgiving Minute To Win It For Kids
Remember, participants get one minute to complete each game!
1. Move the Cranberries
Supplies: 2 plates for each player, plastic straws, dried cranberries (or any other type of small fruit or soft candy)
How to Play: Each player uses in a straw in their mouth to suck 4 cranberries, 1 at a time, and place them on another plate.
To make this harder: Instead of using a plate, place them on top of 4 flexible straws standing up vertically (you can tape these together)
2. Easy Flying Turkeys
Supplies: 3 Balloons, sharpie
How to Play: Blow up 3 balloons and draw a turkey on each one. Then, players must keep all 3 balloons in the air for 1 minute. They can use any part of their body, but can’t hold the balloons at any time.
To make this easier: You can use fewer balloons.
3. Jumping Acorns
Supplies: Empty tissue box, 8 acorns for each player
How to Play: Place 8 acorns into each empty tissue box. Then, players figure out how to get the acorns out of the box in 1 minute. They can use any part of their bodies except for their hands.
To make it easier: Use fewer acorns or cut a bigger hole in the tissue box.
4. Johnny Applestack
Supplies: 5 apples
How to Play: Players stack 5 apples on top of each other. The apples must remain freestanding for 3 seconds.
Pro Tip: This was pretty hard for my girls. Depending on the shape and size of the apples, you might start with 3 or 4.
5. Clever Yam Relay Race
Supplies: Yams, spoon
How to Play: Give participants a yam and a spoon. Players must use the spoon to roll the yam to a certain point and back. The first one back is the winner!
6. Cranberry Racket
Supplies: Tennis racket, fresh cranberry or other small fruit
How to Play: The player holds a tennis racket between their legs. The player then must move the cranberry to the exact center of the racket.
Pro Tip: We didn’t have a fresh cranberry, so we used a grape instead!
7. Pumpkin Relay Race
Supplies: Pumpkins
How to Play: Carry the pumpkin as quick as you can to the specified mark.
Pick your pumpkin back up and race to the finish line to hand over your pumpkin to the next player. The fastest team wins!
Variation: Instead of handing off the pumpkin, the player could sit on the pumpkin and answer a given prompt (for example : what’s your favorite Thanksgiving food, what are you grateful for, etc…)

8. Feathers in the Air
Supplies: Craft feather
How to Play: Players must use only their breath to keep a feathers in the air for 1 minute.
To make this harder: Make it 2 feathers they have to keep in the air.
9. Turkey Leg Wrap Up
*Great for older kids and teens
Supplies: burlap, chef’s hat
You won’t want to miss seeing your friends do this!
How to Play: Players wrap their partner in burlap and place a chef’s hat on their head to make them look like a turkey leg. The fastest team wins!

10. Shake Your Tail Feathers
Supplies: Empty Kleenex boxes, craft feathers
How to Play: Each player needs an empty tissue box filled with 5 craft feathers. Players must shake until all of the feathers fall out of their tissue box within the minute.
11. Pumpkin Balance Game
Supplies: Miniature pumpkins
How to Play: Each player balances a miniature pumpkin on their head and walks from one side of the room to the other without letting the pumpkin fall or using their hands. The player who completes the most round trips in 60 seconds wins.
If a pumpkin is dropped, the player must start over with counting.
12. Turkey Baster Relay Minute to Win It
Supplies: Turkey baster, craft feather
How to Play: Set a start and finish line and race to beat the clock! Players who successfully complete the challenge or win the race head-to-head are the winners.
13. Peck Away Minute to Win It Game
*The crowd favorite (due to the whipped cream!)
Supplies: 2 plates for each player, dried cranberries (or any other berry/candy), whipped cream
How to Play: Turkeys use their beaks to pick up food. So in this fun game, bury 10 berries under the whipped cream. Then, each player must use their mouth to transfer the hidden berries to the other empty plate.
To make this even more exciting: You can sprinkle crushed Oreos or graham crackers on top to look like dirt. Or try gummy worms instead of berries.
To make this easier: Use 5-6 dried cranberries for younger kids.
14. Turkey Bowling Game
Supplies: 5 solo cups, sharpie, small decorating pumpkin (or ball)
How to Play: First, draw turkeys on the solo cups and set the cups on top of each other in a pyramid. Then, players roll the pumpkin to see how many cups they can knock down in a minute.

15. Thanksgiving Charades Minute To Win It Games
Supplies: Charade cards
How to Play: Create a set of cards that has various Thanksgiving words and phrases. Or pick up free Thanksgiving charades cards.
Divide into two teams. Each team designates who will act out the cards within one minute.
The team with the most guesses wins. Remember, no words or clues are allowed – only pure acting!
16. Thanksgiving Gratitude Photo Hunt
How to Play: Print off this free Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt. Have participants use their phones to find and take pictures of everything on the list.
Set a time limit (1 minute for longer) and the person or team done first is the winner. Share the photos with everyone!
17. Bouncing Cranberries
Supplies: 2 fresh cranberries, bowl, glasses
How to Play: Place 2 glasses about 2.5 inches apart. Then, place a bowl of ripe bouncy cranberries near the opposite end of the table. Players hold 2 cranberries at once and must bounce both cranberries (at the same time) across so that they land in 2 separate glasses.
To make this easier: Bounce the cranberries separately.

Supplies: paper and pencil
How to Play: Given one Thanksgiving-themed word, players use the letters in that word to come up with as many other words as possible in 60 seconds. The player or team with the most words is the winner.

Supplies: Thanksgiving 5 Second Game Words or Cards
How to Play: Players compete to name as many items within a given category as possible in 60 seconds. Play in teams or partners and see who can name the most.

20. Thanksgiving Exercise Challenge
*No Supplies Needed!
Participants aim to complete as many repetitions of a selected exercise as possible within one minute. This is a great opportunity for movement and a burst of energy release! Pair players in partners to help count repetitions.
Turkey Trot Relay: Set up a relay race where kids must waddle like turkeys between two points. You can even add a twist by having them balance a small “pumpkin” (a small object) on their heads while they trot!
Cornucopia Crunches: Have kids do a set of crunches while imagining they are filling a cornucopia with fruits and veggies. Encourage them to name their favorite foods as they lift!
Pilgrim Plank: Get kids into a plank position and challenge them to hold it while sharing things they are thankful for.
Stuffing Squats: Have kids perform squats as if they are “stuffing” a turkey. Each squat can be a new ingredient, like “mashed potatoes” or “green beans.”
Harvest Hops: Create a hopscotch board with Thanksgiving-themed items (pumpkins, leaves, and turkeys).
