How much should a 10 year old read?
According to Scholastic, kids at this age benefit greatly from reading at least 30 minutes a day. (See more interesting reading statistics benefits)
The easiest way to achieve this is through a regular reading routine. In our home, the kids read right before bed.
This routine serves as both reading time and a way for them to wind down without screens. After school can also work well.
