Easy New Year’s Eve Minute To Win It Games
Pro Tip: If your family loves Minute to Win It games, set aside some of the commonly used materials and store them for easy reuse every time you play.
1. Clock Ball Drop
Supplies: Minimum 12 ping pong balls, 12 plastic cups
How To Play: Arrange cups in a circle like a countdown clock. Players have one minute to drop as many ping-pong balls into the cups as they can!
Pro Tips: The cups may tip over, and the ping pong balls will likely bounce everywhere! Have an extra player on hand to reset the cups, gather stray balls, and pass ping pong balls as needed.
2. Ball Drop Toss
Supplies: Ping pong balls, plastic cups or bowls
How To Play: Players must stand on a chair and attempt to drop ping pong balls into a bowl or cup on the ground. Players must successfully land a designated number of ping pong balls into the cup without it bouncing out before time is up.
To make it trickier, add a blindfold!
Pro Tip: Since plastic cups can tip over easily, switch to a small bucket, bowl, or even a small trash can if players are finding it tricky.
3. Kisses Countdown
Supplies: 12 chocolate kisses, 12 plastic cups
How To Play: Write numbers 1–12 on the bottoms of chocolate kisses and hide each one under a plastic cup. Arrange the 12 numbered cups in a circle like a clock. Players take turns uncovering a kiss and placing it in the correct “hour” spot on the clock.
Make it a race! This is an easy set up for two games at once.
Pro Tip: Number the cups 1-12 to make the game easier for younger kids.
4. New Year’s Kisses
Supplies: Hershey Kisses, large craft sticks
How To Play: Players hold a craft stick in their mouth with 1–5 Hershey Kisses balanced on top (adjust the number based on age). The goal is to walk to a designated spot and back within a minute without dropping any Kisses! If a Kiss falls, they must go back to the start and try again.
5. Kiss Unwrap
Supplies: Hershey kisses, toothpicks
How To Play: Challenge players to use only one toothpick to unwrap as many Hershey Kisses as possible within one minute. The player who unwraps the most Kisses by the end wins.
For younger kids, make it easier by allowing them to use a toothpick in each hand.
