Small joys, big memories
Good morning. I’ve been thinking about the power of gratitude lately.
Not the kind where we pretend everything is wonderful or ignore the hard parts of life.
The kind that helps us notice what’s still good. Even on the days that feel heavy.
Because sometimes, nothing around us has changed.
But when we shift what we’re looking for, we start seeing things differently.
A small kindness. A belly laugh. A family member who shows up. A warm cup of coffee when we need it most.
Those little things add up.
Today, we’re bringing you a few ways to laugh, connect, and find more of those moments in your everyday life.
Now, here’s what’s on the table. We saved you the best seat.
This game is quick, hilarious, and just competitive enough to get everyone talking. Play right from the post or grab the cards in the shop to make it easy and screen-free.

STORIES FROM THE TABLE
Maya’s Gratitude Story
Maya sank into the driver’s seat after a long, exhausting day. The kind where every task felt like lifting a boulder.
She let out a breath she didn’t realize she’d been holding and rested her forehead on the steering wheel.
Then she noticed an older woman slowly crossing the parking lot. She carried a grocery bag in each hand, smiling as if the chilly wind didn’t bother her.
A younger man hurried ahead, clearly distracted. But when he glanced back and saw her struggling, he jogged over and took one of the bags.
The woman’s face lit up. She said something Maya couldn’t hear, but the gratitude was unmistakable.
It stopped Maya in her tracks.
Life is heavy for everyone, she realized. Not just her.
And yet people still find reasons to smile, to help, and to appreciate small kindnesses.
Maybe she could do that, too.
That night, instead of replaying everything that went wrong, Maya named three things that went right.
Not big things. Just enough.
Warm socks. A good cup of coffee. That simple moment in the parking lot.
Her life didn’t change overnight. But her perspective did.
Gratitude doesn’t erase the hard. But it makes it easier to carry. And the good easier to see.
CHALLENGE OF THE WEEK
Make gratitude part of your everyday life.
This week, notice 3 blessings each day and share that appreciation with someone else, if you can.
Here are three ideas to get you started:
- The Thankful Table: At dinner, have everyone share one thing they’re grateful for. Keep it going all week and see what new answers pop up.
- The Thankful Giving Table: Turn gratitude into action. Choose one small way to help someone else, whether it’s sharing a meal, writing a note, or doing an unexpected favor.
- The Thankful Traveler: When you’re out and about, look for one little thing that makes you smile. A beautiful tree, a kind stranger, or a favorite place.
You don’t need a big plan. Just a little intention.
The goal is to notice the good, appreciate it, and pass a little of it along.
