15 Football Minute to Win It Games That That Score Big Every Time

The best part? They only require a few supplies and don’t leave a big mess behind. Many games repeat the same items!
Pick and choose. Or do all the games. You only need a few supplies for all of them:
- Soft mini footballs (I bought and used these)
- handkerchief (something to blindfold)
- buckets
- regular-size football
- hoola hoops or pool noodles (whatever you have!)
- a halftime snack
- bowls, spoon
Easy Football 1 Minute Games For Kids, Teens, or Adults
See who can complete these fun tasks in just a minute. Grab a timer and start!
1. Blind Quarterback
*Awesome for all ages!
Supplies needed: A blindfold, small soft footballs

First, pick one person to be the quarterback and one person to be the receiver. Then, blindfold your quarterback.
To play: The quarterback throws a soft football to the receiver, who can only give verbal directions. The pair has 60 seconds to complete the most passes.
Tip: Coach the kids to talk to their quarterback! Once they started saying, “longer” “shorter” “left” “right,” they caught many more balls!
Make it easier or harder: Adjust the space apart for different ages of kids. You can also spin older kids before starting to disorient them.
2. Football Toss
Supplies: Small soft footballs, buckets, laundry baskets, etc.

How to Play: Throw mini footballs into buckets or baskets worth different point values. The highest score in one minute wins.
3. Field Goal Kick
*Teen-approved!
Supplies: Pool noodles, small soft footballs

How to Play: Kick a foam football through two pool noodles (or cones) set up as goalposts. See how many field goals you can make in one minute.
After playing, I realized I could have just used our cat towers to make it easier. Use what you already have!
Make it easier/harder: Adjust how far away the goal is according to their age.
4. Long Snapper

How to Play: Players must stand with their backs to a basket and toss mini footballs under them in a designated laundry basket, bucket, or bin. (Just like a long snapper!) The player with the most balls in the basket after a minute wins.
Make it easier or harder by adjusting the area between the child and basket, or adjusting the size of the target.
5. Football Prediction Game
*Fun adult game too!
Supplies: Free Printable Game Predictions

While we originally made this game for the Super Bowl, you can play it while watching any football game! Pass out the game to each participant in the group. Then, all players have one minute to fill out as many questions as possible.
Whoever gets the most right at the end of the game wins!
Need more time? You can adjust the amount of time everyone gets to fill it out.
6. Pigskin Balance
Supplies: Soft mini footballs

How to play: Balance a football on your head while walking through a simple obstacle course without dropping it.
Variation: Simply see who can keep the ball on their head the longest!
7. Outside Catch
*Easiest game for all ages!
Supplies: Regular football

How to Play: Players see how many throws they can catch within a minute. (Older kids should stand farther apart when throwing.)
Variation: Start together and take one step back with each throw and completed catch.
8. Football Trivia Game
Supplies: This football trivia game

How to Play: Pair up into teams or play individually. See who can answer the most trivia questions in one minute.
9. Race for the Footballs
*Great for younger kids!
Supplies: Small soft footballs

How to Play: Have players leave the room while you hide small footballs. When they return, the player who collects the most in a minute wins. Take turns hiding and playing!
10. Halftime Snack Sort
Supplies: Your halftime snack, bowls, spoons

How to Play: Put all of your halftime snack (popcorn, candy, etc) into one bowl. Then, set your timer. Players must transfer the snack from one bowl to the other using only a spoon in their mouth. No hands!
The player with the most snack transfered to the other bowl at the end of 60 seconds wins.
Don’t have a spoon handy? You can also play this game with chopsticks or tongs.
11. Quarterback Accuracy
Supplies: Soft mini footballs, hoola hoops, cardboard with holes cut out, or bucket

Throw footballs through hula hoops or cardboard cutouts with different-sized holes. Or do what we did, and put your bucket on its side for target practice.
12. Hike & Throw
Supplies: Regular-sized football
How to play: Split your group into teams of two. The first player hikes it to the person behind them and then runs to catch the pass. The most completed passes in a minute wins.
13. Commercial Break Challenge
Supplies: This Truth or Dare Game

How to Play: Complete a silly challenge before each commercial ends.

In this hilarious game, players must name 3 things within 5 seconds. Categories you could use for the game:

How to Play: Each player or team gets a point for each one. The player/team who guesses the most in a minute wins!
15. Table Football
Supplies: Paper
How to Play: Players race against the clock to flick or toss folded paper footballs into the compartments of a muffin tin or between their partner’s hands.
