The Objective of Christmas Movie Bingo
Christmas Movie Bingo works just like traditional bingo, except you’re watching for holiday movie moments to happen.
Each player gets a bingo card filled with things they might see during a Christmas movie.
As the movie plays, players mark a square when they spot its matching moment.
Depending on how you want to play, the winner can be the first person to get:
- Four spaces in a row
- Four spaces across, down, or diagonally
- Four corners
- A specific pattern
- A blackout, where every square is marked
The best part? Everyone has to pay attention to the movie to play! (No falling asleep allowed!)

- Markers: colored pencils, mini marshmallows, pom-poms, Christmas erasers, pieces of paper, or even M&Ms work great.
- A Christmas movie: Pick a family favorite or let the group vote.
- Clipboards or a firm surface (perfect for couches and living rooms).
- Optional Prizes: Select small prizes for winners (ideas below!)
Pro Tip: Slide the cards into a clear page protector and use a dry-erase marker. No more lost markers if the dog dashes by or a family member accidentally bumps your card! Plus, you can use the cards to play again on the next holiday movie you watch!
How to Play Christmas Movie Bingo

1. Give each player one bingo card.
2. Hand out markers (or dry-erase markers if you’re using protectors).
3. Decide what each player needs to win. Can they go up, down, and diagonally? Do they need “blackout” (all spaces marked) before they win?
4. Start watching the holiday movie.
5. When a player sees or hears something that matches a square, they mark it.
5. Get four in a row! The first player to complete the agreed-upon bingo pattern calls out “Bingo!”
