The ripple effect

Good morning. I’ve been thinking about the power of small moments.

The ones that don’t feel like much at the time. But somehow turn into the memories your kids carry with them.

It doesn’t take a big plan to create something meaningful. Just a willingness to start.

Here’s what’s on the table today.

On a windy afternoon, a little boy and his mom walked through a park they loved. But that day, it didn’t feel the same. Trash dotted the grass, and the pond was covered in debris.

The boy frowned. “Someone should fix this.”

His mom handed him an empty bag and smiled. “Maybe someone can.”

They spent ten quiet minutes picking up what they could. No one clapped. No one noticed. But when they were done, the path looked clearer. The pond a little brighter.

As they walked away, another family stopped. The kids pointed at the clean grass and started picking up a few pieces too.

The boy looked back, surprised. “It’s already better.”

His mom squeezed his hand. “That’s how it starts.”

Often, leaving something better than you found it isn’t about doing everything. It’s about doing something. And letting it ripple.
