Want to Play With Pie Instead?

Candy isn’t your only option!

For a fun Thanksgiving pie version, give each player one pie, pie slice, or other Thanksgiving item (toys, fall books, or anything that your players would love). Then use the free Thanksgiving Dice Game printable to determine who swaps, steals, or passes their item.

It’s especially fun when you have several different kinds of pie because players won’t know which one they’ll end up with!

How to Play the Thanksgiving Pie Swap Game

  1. Have everyone sit in a circle.
  2. Give each player one pie or pie slice.
  3. Decide how many rounds you want to play.
  4. Give the die to the first player.
  5. Roll the die and follow the direction on the printable.
  6. Play for a set number of rounds or a set amount of time.
  7. At the end, everyone keeps the pie they have!

Tip for playing with only 1 item: If a player rolls a 1 and steals someone’s pie or item, the player who lost theirs takes a replacement from the extras in the center and keeps playing. Keep 1–2 extra pies, treats, or items nearby just in case. If a player ends up with two items, that’s okay! Keep playing and let the dice decide where everything ends up.
