Summer starts here

Good morning. As we continue with our Summer Bucket List series this week, let’s acknowledge something. It’s easy to feel pressure to make summer magical.

But the truth is, the moments we remember most are often the simplest ones. The bike rides, the backyard games, the late-night conversations, and the feeling of being truly seen.

So let’s keep it simple and stress-free too. Now, here’s what’s on the table today…

SITTING WITH THIS

Today, I’d like to share a few things on my summer bucket list so far – in the hopes that it inspires your own. (This list is about exploring and feeling alive to life. But you’ll notice that mine keeps it simple for sanity’s sake too.)

  • Riding bikes to our nearby Jimmy John’s for lunch
  • Taking books to a nearby park for a reading picnic
  • Visiting the Farmer’s Market at least once
  • Starting a Poker night with my big kids (because we laugh so much)
  • Friday family movie night
  • Daily morning nature walks (for mama)

I’ve done the math. I only have 4 summers left with my oldest and 6 with my middle child. One thing is clear. Time keeps moving, whether I savor it with my kids or not. So why not build memories we’ll take with us?
