Pass the light

Before the day gets loud, good morning from the table.

I’ve been thinking about how much brighter life feels because of the people around us.

Sometimes we don’t need someone to fix everything.

We just need a little help, a little laughter, and a little light.

So today, let’s notice those moments. And maybe be that person for someone else, too.

Pull up a chair. There’s plenty of good stuff on the table today.

HAPPY THANKFUL THURSDAY!

This week, I’m thankful for…

Local parks. We had a family picnic last weekend and then played volleyball on a sand court. It made me so grateful to have beautiful places nearby where we can spend time together.

Game testing. We try to test every game and activity before bringing it to you. My kids have a blast doing it. And the extra laughter is one of my favorite parts of this job.

Farmers markets. Fresh produce. Local baked goods. Friendly faces. There’s something about a farmers market that makes an ordinary weekend morning feel special.

What are you grateful for today?

Hit reply and tell me.

There’s something powerful about stopping long enough to notice the good that’s already around us.

CHALLENGE OF THE WEEK

Ask for help.

Before we wrap up this week’s challenge, don’t forget to get the kids involved! (Everyone who lives with you can contribute in some way!)

These are all free:

(And if you need more guidance with kids’ routine, 700+ readers have loved the 5 Day Kids Routine Reset. 70 pages of checklists, charts, and more – $150 value for a fraction of that.)

Let the kids help. Let your spouse help. Let people help.

That’s not failing.

That’s teamwork.

AFFIRMATION OF THE WEEK

I allow myself to receive help.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Who has made your life a little lighter lately?

Take a second today to notice them.

And if you can, tell them.

(We spend so much time thinking about what needs to be done next that we sometimes forget to appreciate the people making the journey better.)

WHAT’S TODAY?

❤️ It’s National Hero Day!

Today is a chance to recognize the people who make a difference through courage, kindness, service, and everyday acts of helping others.

And here’s the thing:

Most heroes don’t wear a cape.

Sometimes they’re the person making dinner.

The neighbor who checks in.

The teacher who goes the extra mile.

The friend who answers the phone.

The kid who notices someone sitting alone and invites them to play.

Who is your everyday hero?

TABLE TALK

Thank you for sitting at the table with us today.

I hope something here made you smile, gave you an idea to try, or reminded you to appreciate the people who make your life a little brighter.

Let’s pass the light today.

If you have anything you’d like to share, ask, or say, just hit reply. I’d love to hear from you.

I appreciate you!

See you tomorrow at the table,
