A little laughter, a little rest
Good morning. One thing I’ve been learning lately is that rest isn’t something you earn after you’ve done enough.
My mind tells me I’m never done anyway. So by that logic, rest would never come.
But rest is what makes doing the things that matter most possible.
Most of life’s best moments happen when we slow down.
A walk before breakfast. A conversation by the pool. A laugh that catches you off guard. A popsicle on a hot afternoon.
This week’s challenge is how you build more of those moments into the life you’re already living.
Pull up a chair. The coffee’s warm, and today’s table is full of ways to make this summer one to remember.
If this week’s challenge is resonating, this is where it goes deeper →

This is the article readers keep sharing (800+ in the last month) with the people hosting their celebrations this year.
This one turns a regular evening into something everyone leans into.
Simple rules, fast pace, and somehow more competitive than it has any right to be. Phyllis says, “I paired up an adult with a child, and they enjoyed working together to answer the questions.”

THANKFUL THURSDAY
And happy Thankful Thursday!
This week, I’m thankful for…
- Cool mornings. Great for walks with my hubby before the kids get up and the day gets away from us.
- My work colleagues. I love my business, but I’d be miserable trying to do it all myself. Part of learning to rest is trusting other people to step in when you step out. I’m grateful to work with such wonderful women.
- The daily “Table Talk.” Today’s in particular made me snort, as I just got back from one kid’s tennis practice while going over math facts with another kid 😂

WHAT’S TODAY?
National Bomb Pop Day is today! And honestly, after everything we talked about in today’s intro, a popsicle on a hot afternoon sounds like the most intentional self-care choice you can make right now.
