No finish line
Good morning. Here’s something I’ve been thinking about: the most important things in life don’t have finish lines.
Being a good parent. Building strong relationships. Taking care of your health. Creating a life you love.
There’s no magical day when you finally check those things off your list and declare, “Done!”
They’re built in the little things we do over and over. The conversations, the walks, the silly games, and the moments when we choose to show up.
Even when life feels busy.
So today, let’s stop chasing perfect and celebrate the progress we can’t cross off a list.
There’s plenty of Halloween fun on the table, too. Pull up a chair!

TABLE WISDOM
“It’s just a bunch of hocus pocus.” – Hocus Pocus (1993)
What can one little roll turn into?
Roll the die, follow the prompts, and watch your pumpkin come to life. One silly step at a time.
The best part? You never quite know what your finished pumpkin will look like!
Think your kids can solve these spooky riddles without cracking up?

CHALLENGE OF THE WEEK

AFFIRMATION OF THE WEEK
I make time for fun.
A reader favorite….
One little roll of the die could change your Christmas candy stash…
It’s easy to play, simple to set up, and perfect for Christmas parties, family game nights, classroom celebrations, or a festive get-together with friends.
Over 20,000 readers will tell you it’s hilarious fun.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
What if you stopped measuring your life by what you finish?
It’s easy to feel like we’re always behind. There are more things to do, habits to build, goals to reach, and people to care for.
But the most meaningful parts of life aren’t projects we complete.
They’re things we keep nurturing.
(You don’t finish building a strong relationship. You keep connecting.)
And it doesn’t mean you aren’t making progress.
Today, instead of asking, “What did I accomplish?” try asking, “What did I nurture?”
You don’t have to finish everything to be doing a good job at living.

Just curious if you can recommend a wine that pairs well with eating my children’s Halloween candy.
Thank you for pulling up a chair and gathering with us.
