What is your jar full of? May Reading Challenge

Good morning,

What are your big rocks?

I was reminded of a powerful metaphor in my reading this month.

The essence of the story is that if you fill a jar with big rocks first (representing important tasks or priorities), then smaller rocks (less critical tasks), and finally sand (minor tasks or distractions), everything will fit.

However, if you start with sand, then add smaller rocks, and finally add big rocks, the big rocks won’t fit. The jar is already full of less critical items.

The best days will have room for the big rocks:

  • Time spent with family
  • Laughter with friends
  • A spiritual practice or meditation
  • Meaningful tasks and passions

Today, allow your big rocks to take center stage, filling your life with purpose, one jarful at a time.

Quote of the Day

“If the big rocks don’t go in first, they aren’t going to fit in later.”
