SITTING WITH THIS
The 3 Things That Keep Me Grounded
I’ve learned that I don’t need a complicated routine to feel better.
For me, it comes down to three simple things:
1. Morning quiet time
Ten minutes, a cup of coffee, and my journal (without my phone). Starting with gratitude helps me look for what’s good instead of immediately focusing on what’s hard.
2. Movement
Preferably a morning workout and a nature walk later in the day.
I have more energy, think more clearly, handle stress better, and sleep better when I make movement part of my day.
3. Time at night to unwind without kids and screens
At night, I need a little space away from emails, messages, kids, and screens. Reading a book or talking with my husband helps my brain finally slow down.
None of these things are complicated.
But when I skip them for a few days, I notice.
