My 9 Goals for February – Week 3 of 4

Hi there! This series shares my goals, bucket list items, and progress made every month.

This Month’s Goals

For background on these goals, see the original February goals post >>

2. Do the February reading challenge

Done and Dusted. I talked about 1 & 2 on February goals: week 2.

3. Enjoy a Valentine’s Day dinner with the kids

Done. A Halloween tablecloth, Thanksgiving candles, and birthday decorations made this the weirdest Valentine’s dinner ever. Plus I pulled out pink mustaches and pretended to be someone else (even weirder, right?!) We giggled through dinner.

Easily the highlight of my week.

4. Do something with my hubs for Valentine’s Day too

I put something in the schedule because I’ve realized that this won’t happen unless I do.

5. Write for Wealthy Woman Finance

New posts are up over here! My favorites this week:

6. Watch a documentary

Done. We got home exhausted last night. So, my husband put on “Save My Squad” – a Disney documentary. David Beckham breathes life into a struggling soccer (football) team. It was interesting, motivating, and something we can actually watch with the kids!

7. Spend more time on the nearby trail

I didn’t get out as much as last week, but still 3-4 times.

My favorite was the long weekend run/walk outside. Most of my exercise is done early and inside. But I make it a rule to get out for something slow and steady on the weekend. It’s more of a grounding practice. And I go without ear pods.

I listen to the birds and my thoughts. And make friends with the deer.

8. Plan one future trip

Finally, we are planning a road trip to Texas that we should have planned a month ago.

9. Eat more salads that don’t taste like salads.

The kids made chicken nuggets for lunch one day, so I made a salad out of it. It was delicious, but maybe not incredibly healthy. 🤣 I ate two other salads while traveling this week- The apple salad at Wendy’s and the Savannah Chopped Salad at McCallisters.

My goal is 3 salads again this week.

I’ll update you every Monday to share how I’m doing with these goals.
