Candy Cane Cash Grab Game: Ho-Ho-Hold Onto Your Winnings!

The Candy Cane Cash Grab game is the perfect mix of competition and mystery! With candy canes wrapped in cash, every round keeps players on their toes as they win and steal their way to the best stash.

This game can be played two ways. Play for money or turn it into a fun Candy Cane gift exchange!

Supplies You Need

For the basic game, all you need to play is:

• Candy canes
• $1 bills (taped to the candy canes)
• Tape
• A fun Christmas word game like Xmas Taboo, Christmas Family Feud, Christmas Trivia, Christmas Jeopardy, or Xmas 5 Second Game

Objective of this Candy Cane Game

The objective is to end up with the most candy canes if you’re using all $1 bills. If you slip in a few larger bills, the objective turns into getting the biggest cash canes.

How to Play the Candy Cane Cash Grab Game

1. Wrap your cash around the candy canes (I put a little piece of tape on to hold it together)
2. Pick the Christmas word game you’d like to play. (See above)
3. Give each player 1-2 candy canes. (More candy canes just means more money)
4. Determine the number of rounds you want to play.
5. Play the game you choose, giving each player equal turns. For every round a player wins, they take a candy cane from another person in the group. If you lose a round, you move on to the next person.

After the final round, each player keeps the candy canes they have as their prize!

Crazy Fun Variations to This Candy Cane Game

• Money Bonus: Wrap a $5 bill around one or two of the candy canes. Then, watch as the steals get intense.

• Put All The Candy Canes in the Middle: To start, put all of your candy canes in the middle or in a hat. In this variation, for every round you win, you pull a candy cane from the hat. For every round you lose, you put a candy cane back in the middle. This is a fun, less aggressive version of the game.

• Swap out some of the cash for silly dares, “bonus round” cards, or hidden prizes.

How to Make This An Exciting Gift Exchange

It’s not hard to make this a hilarious gift exchange game. Here’s how:

1. Have everyone bring an unwrapped gift. Put them in the middle.

2. Number your gifts. Then, instead of $1 bills, wrap your candy canes with the same amount of numbers. (Ex. 1-8). Each number corresponds to a gift.

3. Randomly hand out a candy cane to each player. Now, with each round you win, you steal a candy cane with a number. At the end, the candy cane number you have is your gift!

Players will LOVE the strategy and competition of trying to steal certain candy canes!
