Let it be enough
Good morning. Your seat is warm and waiting.
There are days when everything feels like it’s moving too fast. The to-do list is long. The patience is short.
And somewhere in the middle of it all, the people we love most become the ones we talk to least.
Not because we don’t care. But because life gets loud.
On those days, the most powerful thing you can do isn’t add more to your plate.
It’s pause long enough to see the people sitting right across from you.
Today’s table has questions to spark connection, a story for your heart, and two tools to lighten the load.
350 Fun & Exciting Favorite Things Questions to Spark Epic Conversations

TABLE WISDOM
“Every morning, we get a chance to be different. A chance to change. A chance to be better. Your past is your past. Leave it there. Get on with the future part.”

STORIES FROM THE TABLE
A few years ago, my good friend’s family got sick. She had a toddler and a small baby, and they all got bad colds. Or so she thought.
What started small turned into something more. And when she took her baby to the doctor, he was rushed to the nearest children’s hospital for RSV.
Now, this tough little guy got better just fine with medical care. But listening to his mom afterward broke my heart.
My dear friend beat herself up relentlessly for weeks.
Should she have taken him in sooner? Should she have known? What could she have done differently?
And it tore me up because I have done the same thing regarding my own kids.
Finally, I said to her, “You did the best you could with what you knew at the time.”
And that broke through the self-blame. She was able to let go a little. To forgive herself a tiny bit more.
The truth is:
We’re all just human. That can be terrifying. You don’t have all the answers. You can’t control all the outcomes.
But the one thing you do control is that you’re doing your best.
And then you have to let that be enough.
So, let it be enough today, friend.
And the moment when it would help you most? That’s right now.
(P.S. Psychologist Kristin Neff found that treating yourself like a good friend can help you feel stronger and less worried.)
