Life is happening now
Good morning. One of the things I’ve been thinking about lately is how quickly ordinary moments become memories.
The other day, my 12-year-old brought up love languages while we were in the car. It was just a simple conversation about how we liked to be loved. But it connected us on a deeper level than I thought possible from a drive across town.
That’s the thing about the small moments. They don’t feel like much while they’re happening. Yet, years later, they’re the ones we treasure most.
Today’s table is full of simple ways to create more of them. So, pull up a chair. They’re hiding in plain sight.
That car conversation started because I asked one question she wasn’t expecting.

THANKFUL THURSDAY
And happy Thankful Thursday!
This week, I’m thankful for…
- Slower evenings. This is giving us more time together for things like nature walks, crafting, bike rides, and game nights.
- Our family did a 5k on Saturday. I was so sore after! And while my big kids complained about getting up early, everyone was really proud to have finished strong. It felt really good to do something challenging together.
- Morning walks with my hubby. We’ve been taking a coffee and hitting the trail before the kids and work wake up. And it has become my favorite way to start the day. These morning walks started because we finally made space for them. If you’ve been wanting something similar, this is a good place to start →
