10 Genius Homework Station Ideas to Keep Kids Focused and Organized
Are you struggling to get kids focused and organized on homework? You’re not alone!
Last year, my son got homework daily. For the first time. It took us months to figure out a routine that worked for him.
What helped? A homework station! (My kids sometimes do homework in their rooms, but I don’t like them taking devices in. It’s too easy to get distracted.)
The homework station made the routine less stressful, less distracting, and also cut down on clutter. It’s like a little home office for kids!

How to Set Up a Homework Station
Creating a homework station that’s effective is simple.
- Choose a quiet area. You want to keep them away from as many distractions as possible.
- Stock it with necessities. My kids could spend hours looking for things instead of doing their homework. The homework station ideas below will help with what you need!
- Set a routine. Kids should do their homework at the same time and in the same space. They know where to find everything they need beforehand.
- Stick around. Kids are still kids. I had to stay on the same floor to make sure my son didn’t find his own distractions. But most of the time, I could do other things too.
