Hi there! This series shares my goals, bucket list items, and progress made every month.

1. Run My First Half Marathon

The half marathon is scheduled for September 14th 🙂

Training in August was…brutal, if I’m being honest. The travel schedule in the last month made this both hard on time, but also hard on my body. I’m proud of myself for sticking it out though. It certainly is as much about your mental game as your physical one.

I completed most of the items on the August organization calendar. I haven’t gotten to cleaning out the pantry or summer stuff yet, but the routine checklists are up and running.

2. Do the Monthly Reading Challenge

My book from last month was The People We Meet on Vacation. It was a light, easy read that kept me excited to keep going.

This month it’s a mystery book. If you need an idea, I highly recommend Killers of the Flower Moon. It has been my absolute favorite book this year! I’ll be reading Just the Nicest Couple.

A husband’s disappearance links two couples in this twisty thriller from the New York Times bestselling author of Local Woman Missing, Mary Kubica

3. Watch a Documentary or Inspiring Movie (12 for the Year)

I’ve watched 7/12 for the year. This month, I watched “The Young Woman and the Sea” on Disney. I adored it from the start!!!! It’s about the epic underdog battle of a young woman learning to swim, and then becoming the first woman to swim the English channel. I highly recommend it!

This year, I’ve seen:

  • King Richard (Based on the true story of Serena and Venus Williams)
  • Jiro Dreams of Sushi
  • The Greatest Love Story Never Told (Jennifer Lopez)
  • Save My Squad (David Beckham)
  • The Race to Alaska
  • The Greatest Showman
  • The Young Woman and the Sea

If you have any recommendations of documentaries you’ve loved, please let me know in the comments!

4. August Goal Wrap Up: Do the “Find Extra $ Challenge”

I did not get to this money challenge in August, so I’m moving it into September!

5. Visit a New Coffee Shop Every Month

This month, I visited one while on vacation called Cafe Sisal. (I’m kicking myself for not taking a picture!)

I’ve been to 7/12 for the year.

6. Get Back Into Smoothies

Healthy green smoothies

My goal is to have a smoothie 3x a week this month 🙂

I’ll update you once a month to share how I’m doing with these goals.
