For the May reading challenge, I read Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. It’s a captivating fantasy novel that has graced the New York Times Best Seller list for an impressive 53 weeks.

Within its pages is the tale of a young woman entering a war college for dragon riders. She must forge alliances and hone her skills to not only survive but thrive.

My thoughts? I enjoyed the characters and the vivid fantasy world created in this story. Although written for a mature audience, it was easy to read. And the plot kept me on the edge of my seat until the last page.

I’ve already ordered the second book in the series, Iron Flame, which is also on the New York Times Best Sellers list.

This month, I’ll be reading…

For our June challenge, we are reading a book to learn something new. I am excited to finally dive into Atomic Habits by James Clear.

Atomic habits; reading challenges for adults

Amazon summary: Atomic Habits will reshape the way you think about progress and success, and give you the tools and strategies you need to transform your habits – whether you are a team looking to win a championship, an organization hoping to redefine an industry, or simply an individual who wishes to quit smoking, lose weight, reduce stress, or achieve any other goal.

This book has also been a New York Times Best Seller for weeks! Check it out if you haven’t read it yet.

Or invest in a book about a new hobby or read to boost your business.

Kids Reading Challenge

Kids are also picking up a book to learn something new in June.

Encourage your kids to think outside the box with their book choices. Historical fiction can spark their interest in historical events. Other engaging nonfiction books present facts in a fun way.

Pro Tip: Create a list of topics your kids are interested in learning more about. Then, visit your local library and find books on those subjects. Encourage your kids to choose a mix of both nonfiction and fiction books related to each topic!

Or inspire your kids to learn about a new craft hobby (perfect for the start of summer). You can also check out our book lists by age to find the perfect read for everyone.
