A critical key to success in today’s digital age is not getting distracted.
If you’ve ever used a tracker to see how often you check your phone, you’ll know what I mean. (It’s most likely in the hundreds per day)
Most people spend their days falling down online rabbit holes when something important gets boring.
It seems harmless. And phones make this all too easy.
But, in reality, you are losing precious hours of your life. Time that you could be connecting deeply, elevating your health, or doing work that fills you with pride. And you’ll never get these hours back.
So, how can you set up your week for fewer distractions?
To make room for higher focus and well-being, maybe you:
- Put your phone in a cabinet, bag, or on another floor when you want to be fully present.
- Plan ahead. I’ve started bringing a book with me to appointments. That way I’m reading instead of scrolling.
- Tell your friends and family what you’re trying to do. A little accountability goes a long way.
What is one way you can ensure you are less distracted today?
I am what you eat to get rich. What am I?
Answer: A fortune cookie.
