67 Epic Vision Board Ideas for Kids to Dream Big
Whenever there’s time off, help kids get inspired about their interests and goals. After all, they’ll be the next generation of impact makers.
The first time I decided to run a 10k was 15 years ago. I was running on a treadmill in my apartment complex and got this big idea of trying out a race.
It’s exciting to try something new! And it would push me to run more than just a mile or two.
But I actually got too excited. I jumped up, thinking about who I could get to run with me.
And tripped over my own feet.
I wiped out. Right there, face first on the treadmill.
In a room full of other people.
I can tell you that it hurt like the dickens. (As did my dignity as my arms went flailing) 🤣
While I did eventually run in a race, the lesson was clear.
Big ideas are exciting at first. But it’s easy to crash and burn. Or in my case, fall. (Luckily, we moved out of that apartment complex soon after!)
Success in anything is more about consistency than blazing glory.
If you’re trying to become more intentional with your family, start small and aim to stay steady. Begin with one consistent family dinner. Or 20 minutes of screen-free time in the morning.
Then, build up to more.
The Family Night Club can help tremendously too. All you do is open the email to get what you need. And it’s only once a week, so you won’t burn out before you find a groove.
