I listened to a great podcast the other day. In it, Aisha Tyler said something important about living a full and vibrant life.
She said “you must deliberately skin your knees a lot”
What does this mean?
To grow, you have to seek discomfort.
And in the process, you’ll get scraped up a bit.
In her case, she spent every weekend for years doing stand-up comedy. Sometimes in venues like laundry mats. And once to an audience that didn’t laugh at a single joke.
But each time made her stronger. More resilient. And eventually she wound up on hit shows, like “Whose Line is it Anyways.”
What does inner peace mean to you?
Thank you for reading. I hope you enjoyed today’s newsletter edition.
