Day 5: Bathroom Decluttering Hacks

1. Toss Expired Products

Check the expiration dates on makeup, skincare, medicine, and toiletries. Discard anything expired or that you haven’t used in months.

2. Limit Multiples

Keep only what you need (one shampoo, one body wash, etc.). Donate or re-gift unopened extras.

3. Sort And Contain

Use small baskets or bins to organize similar items (hair tools, skincare, cleaning supplies). Label them for easy access and to maintain order.

Use simple drawer organizers that fit your space and your items.

4. Stop Saving Stuff You Never Use

  • Half-used beauty products you have stopped using
  • Old fingernail polish that’s dried out or discolored
  • Worn-out towels or washcloths
  • Unused hair tools (curlers, straighteners, etc.)
  • Travel-sized toiletries you never take on trips
  • Free samples
  • Unused or old bath toys
  • Duplicate or unnecessary cleaning supplies
  • Unused gift sets
  • Unnecessary packaging (like boxes or instructions from products you’ve already opened)

Pro Tip: Have skincare products you’ve been meaning to use? Take them out of hiding and keep them visible as a reminder to incorporate them into your routine!

5. Declutter Daily (One-Touch Rule)

Build a habit of removing trash, empty bottles, and unnecessary items as part of your bathroom routine to prevent future clutter.
